Why Choose Private Student Accommodation in Manchester?

Choosing where to live is a big part of your university experience. Private student accommodation offers a modern alternative to traditional university halls or shared student houses, giving you more independence while still providing a supportive student community.

Purpose-built accommodation is designed specifically for student living. Rooms are fully furnished and ready to move into, while utilities, maintenance and building management are all taken care of. That means you can spend less time worrying about bills or house admin, and more time focusing on your studies and enjoying everything the city has to offer.

Private accommodation can also make it easier to balance studying with student life. Dedicated study spaces give you somewhere quiet to focus, while shared lounges and social areas create opportunities to meet other residents and settle into life in Manchester.

With secure buildings and on-site support teams, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to live while you’re at university.

Mansion Student offers a variety of room types designed for comfortable student living.

  • Ensuite rooms offer a private bedroom and bathroom, with a shared kitchen and living space – ideal if you want your own space while still living with other students.

  • Studios feature a private kitchen, bathroom and study area all in one place, giving you complete independence in a self-contained space.

  • Two-bed apartments allow you to live with a friend while enjoying modern facilities and communal areas designed for comfortable student living.

I came from overseas and this literally felt like home here. Also, the team is very supportive

Way too expensive for what it is. Not many events held by the staff. Noisy a lot of the time with students going on the balcony. Lots of things broken or damaged in our rooms. My bed collapsed but was fixed fairly quick. Could do with people coming round to do cleanliness inspections because my roommates leave the shared areas filthy.

Amazing management team here really friendly and helpful and the accommodation is really good and I have settled in well.
