Why Choose Private Student Accommodation in Leeds?

Choosing where to live is a big part of your university experience, especially in a city like Leeds where students have a wide range of options.

Many students in Leeds live in shared houses in areas like Hyde Park, Headingley or Woodhouse, which offer a strong student community but often come with responsibilities such as organising bills, managing maintenance and coordinating with housemates.

Private student accommodation offers a more structured and convenient alternative. Rooms are fully furnished and ready to move into, with bills and maintenance included, so you don’t have to manage the practical side of shared living.

This can be particularly valuable in Leeds, where students often balance busy academic schedules with an active social life. Having a well-located, professionally managed place to live makes it easier to focus on your studies while still enjoying everything the city has to offer.

Private accommodation also gives you flexibility – whether you prefer your own space or want to be part of a student community. With secure buildings and on-site support teams, it’s a comfortable and reliable option throughout the academic year.

Asquith House is an amazing accommodation and the entertainment room is also great. Asha the mansion student receptionist for Asquith House has been amazing, she’s been so so nice and very helpful in me settling into the accommodation. She always takes time to make sure every tenant who comes to her with a problem is sorted. She’s one of the main reasons why Asquith House is a lovely accommodation to be at. She’s been doing an amazing, amazing job. She is the best!

The staff are lovely and try their best to help. There does seem to be issues with things breaking a lot- like the gate lock never works, so anyone can access the parking lot and the washing machines. Also, there are barriers/ tape outside Austin Hall, as it looks like the pavement is unstable. Also annoying that the reception isn't open at the weekend so you have to order parcels strategically. Overall, not bad though considering the price.

It's alright, But the laundry is a bit expensive, And for flats with 8 people in them I think the kitchen will need 2 sinks. It gets a bit crowded

A great accommodation with such friendly staff, they’re always there to help out or chat. Not too far of a walk from the city centre so a food shop isn’t much of an issue. Double plus is that there’s a TV in the living room, you can hook up your laptop or gaming consoles to it and watch movies or play games.
