We care about our students
Here at Mansion Student, we care about our student’s mental wellbeing. We understand it can be difficult to settle into new surroundings which can be daunting and, in some cases, cause students to withdraw into themselves. We want to ensure all of our students in residence with us have the best possible experience, so we make sure only the best trained staff are on hand to help our students in times of need!
Our Hospitality Teams
Our Hospitality Teams are trained to advise students on a wide range of issues and to provide mediation on a large number of welfare issues that may arise. Our staff are there to listen and help whether it is dealing with homesickness to difficulty in getting on with flatmates, noise complaints or having trouble with their studies.
We ensure all our Hospitality Teams receive external training to gain an awareness of mental health, an understanding of well-being as a whole and the tools needed to offer help and support to our students.
Resident Student Wardens
Mansion Student recruits and trains students who live on-site to act as wardens for the Mansion Hospitality Teams. Student Wardens can advise on safety, security and anti-social behaviour where needed and are a vital part of staff, highlighting our desire to work with our residents in ensuring a safe experience for all.
Help is out there
In the unlikely event that the Hospitality Team should be unable to help a student with a particular issue, we will give advice of the most suitable person to contact for the support they may require, whether this is from another member of the Mansion Team, a Student Warden, University Welfare or an external party, the most important thing to remember is ‘you are not alone and help is out there!’
