Student Lives Rent Free in the 2010/11 Academic Year A student’s single biggest expenditure is their rent, which means that while other cash-strapped students are struggling to find their rent each month, Aisha will not have to worry.

All Mansion Student tenants are automatically entered in to the ‘Live Rent Free For a Year’ competition when they book before 30th April. More than 600 students took part from across Mansion Student’s national portfolio, including properties in Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle, Oxford and Colchester.

St Andrews Gardens is a stunning Grade II listed building located in the heart of the student quarter of Liverpool, only minutes away from the city’s main campuses. The luxury accommodation is offered by Mansion Student, who also manage the accommodation. It is a prize worth up to £5,000.

On hearing the news Aisha said, “I was just so shocked and astonished, I thought someone was playing a joke on me because I found out on my birthday!”

Aisha said that she chose to live with Mansion Student because she was “so impressed by the quality of the show flat and how friendly the Mansion staff were. Plus the central location close to the universities and Lime Street train station was absolutely ideal”

Aisha came to collect the prize in Liverpool with her mother and sister, who were both delighted with the standard of accommodation on offer to Aisha. “It is excellent accommodation, we are so pleased Aisha has won the competition, thank you so much , said Aisha’s mother.

Asked what she would be spending her saved rent on, Aisha said, “I’m going to use the money to buy a Mini Cooper so that I can drive back to Manchester whenever I want to see my family."

Mansion Student’s Director Of Finance and Operations Angela Dillon said, “This competition reflects Mansion Student’s commitment to re-defining the whole of the private student accommodation sector. It is our biggest prize and I am delighted that for the second year running we can make such a huge difference to a student’s life. I’m sure this must have been a birthday to remember for Aisha!”
